About Illusion Labs

Illusion Labs is a diverse and versatile collective of young Visual Effects Artists from different parts of Southern Africa brought together by the common desire to make the impossible possible!

The original team of 10 highly gifted individuals was chosen out of an overwhelming number of candidates who wished to be part of the multi-agency collaboration in the form of the VFX Accelerator Programme hosted at the South African Creative Industries Incubator head office, based at 224 Perry Avenue, Eersterus, Pretoria.

Although, originally brought together by their love for VFX, the passionate team has a diverse skill set, ranging from fine arts to 2D and 3D animation, to acting, cinematography, Video Editing, etc.

The hope is for the platform to grow into a network of highly skilled individuals who are skilled and passionate enough to collaborate on projects in whatever shape or form that works best for specific projects.

We aim to set a bar to a standard that can only be moved by us, to create the kind of quality that is second to none in the region, to have a seamless workflow that sets standard for production houses across the globe - even beyond VFX.

WE BELIEVE THAT THERE IS STRENGHT IN NUMBERS, 

AND WE WELCOME ANYONE WHO IS OPEN-MINDED, KNOWS HOW TO WORK IN A TEAM, AND HAS THE SAME KIND OF PASSION AND DRIVE FOR THE KIND OF WORK WE DO, AND IS WILLING TO LEARN AND GROW WITH US.

Currently, the platform is not open for new members as it's still being built and tested, but we'll communicate with anyone who has expressed interest as soon as doors are open.
